My goals in designing my dream Peugeot were to create a sexy, dynamic sports car, designed for around the year 2011. Making it one of a kind, it emphasizes the role of community and has an "interactive cockpit" with new, special features. These elements are included into my design in a simple and dynamic way. The design was influenced
by the most up-to-date trends including fashion design, modern art, and new technology. Its triangular shapes create harmony with the three people inside.
I wanted to create a fresh and purposeful environment that proves unique from traditional interiors (today). Utilizing three people, it is arranged in which the driver and the passengers can easily interact and enjoy being in the car. I want to stress enjoyment in it instead of using it just to get from one place to another. When the drivers' friends are in the car, they can arrange their seats to interrelate with each other when stopped. Also, there is a special storage place underneath the instrument panel to utilize extra space.
My dream car targets Generation Y (people born between 1980-1994) because they will be the largest automotive buyers when my dream car reaches production. Also, their interests resemble elements that I wish to have in my dream car. Generation Yers are extremely comfortable with technology. They like brands to express a reality in which they are involved, interconnected, and interactive with. This is why I have included three digital touch-screens for each passenger to "be connected."
Members of Generation Y seek products that create an ambiance and community experience, rather than just provide a function. Because this car targets the next big buyers of the future, Generation Y, the elements of the car must be high in quality and as a result builds brand equity. Also, it has a great deal of power while using new technologies to help keep the environment safe. My dream car shows off Peugeot's new and safe power train (HPi). The representation for the name "The 3rd Avenue" is because of the three people in the car, and the name implies that it's a hangout place.
