PEUGEOT TRANSALPIN - THE WHEEL IS NOT ENOUGH
I dream about wehicle that combines safety and style of car with fun and joy of motorbike. I dream about advanced technology that gives unique filling of the road and curves. I dream about eccentric and one-off style: dynamic, aggresive, uncompromising, close to GP-motorbike look. All for supreme driving pleasure.
Following the sport motorbike rules: this vehicle is mainly for the driver; however there is a rear seat for passenger. Sophisticated steering system should give cornering dynamics of a motorcycle and the safety of a saloon car. Sensors and computer calculate all tilt angles. And another innovation: for better acceleration and emergency braking, all wheel-modules are in flat position - it gives a better road adhesion. But when vehicle drives - all wheel-modules are turning up. It gives less road friction resistance. "Shift-by-wire" system with steering-wheel-mounted shifting-paddles should give best road experience for the driver. All fuel-cell battery system is situated on the low-central part of the aluminium frame. Every wheel-module has own electric engine. This engine moves the wheel-belts through the roll system. A carbon-fibre bodywork and aluminium chassis should ensure low weight of vehicle.
